VPM – The 2026 Wintergreen Music Festival

It’s summer and time for the Wintergreen Music Festival! This year’s event runs from July 2-26. Whether you want to take a weekend trip up to the mountain or spend an entire week enjoying a variety of concerts and musical activities, there’s something for everyone! The four week festival features a wide variety of musical performances, including symphonic and chamber concerts, workshops and clinics. It attracts first-rate musicians to participate as performers and educators. The organization’s LEAD Cooperative (Learn, Explore, Adapt, Diversify) helps to cultivate the next generation of musical leaders.
I recently sat down with Artistic Director Erin Freeman to find out about all of the exciting events she has planned this year, and the various artists and composers that will be represented!
Yours in good music,
Mike Goldberg
