Richmond Symphony's
Come and Play

A community based performance event that is now being sought out as a model for similar programs around the globe.  Created by Erin and the Richmond Symphony Education Department, this event is approaching its seventh successful year. Musicians of all ages and skill levels come together to rehearse and perform a concert benefiting the RSO’s work in the school.

Richmond Symphony's
Lollipops Family Series

Advocated for and launched by Erin and the RSO’s Education team, the family series is now a mainstay of the symphony's offerings. Previous years have seen Stravinsky’s Petrushka, Gershwin’s American in Paris, and Michael Abels’ A Dance for Martin’s Dream.

Community Sings

From Richmond to Buffalo, from Savannah to Williamsburg, Erin has conducted several community sings of major works. She leads attendees musically and historically through works such as Handel’s Messiah, Orff’s Carmina Burana, and Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis.

Pre-concert patron preparation

Passionate about creating entry points into orchestral and choral music, Erin has created videos and other materials for patrons to experience before performances. This video, for example,  takes viewers behind the scenes of a rehearsal of Mozart's Requiem.
