Lessons in Pedagogy & Leadership

Over the course of my career, I have been blessed with truly remarkable teachers—truly, not a single dud in the bunch. They instilled in me the core values of discipline, patience, technique, and artistry that guide everything I do.

Beyond the podium, I am dedicated to passing this accumulated knowledge forward to conductors, educators, and vocalists. Alongside my conducting schedule, I offer targeted consulting and instructional services, including:

  • Individual lessons on conducting and technique

  • Rehearsal technique and efficiency consulting

  • Professional material review

  • Repertoire selection and programming guidance

My work is built on the foundation laid by the extraordinary mentors who came before me, and I offer my teaching in deep gratitude to many mentors and teachers, including the following:

Mr. O and I meet up back stage at Atlanta Symphony Hall at Christmas with Robert Shaw. He was conducting Young Singers. I, as a proud alum, was singing in the Atlanta Symphony Chorus.
