The Richmond Symphony Chorus, conducted by Erin Freeman, gave a stirring, dignified performance of the National Anthem to the sold out crowd on July 4th. According to the umpire, it was “The best national anthem we’ve heard.”
On July 3, the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra capped off its 50th year with a performance on Browns Island. Collaborating with SPARC (School for the Performing Arts in Richmond) and the Richmond Ballet’s Minds in Motion, the talented orchestra students, under the direction of Erin Freeman, performed popular favorites for an audience of thousands before the biggest fireworks display of the season.
