Equally at home leading Beethoven's majestic Missa Solemnis as she is conducting the spooky and hilarious Phantoms of the Orchestra, Erin Freeman's diverse background makes her unique. Highlights of the 2010-2011 season include:
- Co-teaching a Conductors Guild Workshop with Gustav Meier and JoAnn Faletta.
- Conducting Beethoven's Missa Solemnis as part of a year-long celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Richmond Symphony Chorus
- Designing, writing, and conducting the Richmond Symphony's Discovery Series, introducing sold-out audiences of 3rd - 5th graders to the relationship between literature, writing, and music.
- Conducting two world premieres of music by Composer D.J. Sparr.

- December 2011: Freeman joined the conducting team of The Richmond Ballet for its celebrated performance of The Nutcracker

- May 2011: Erin Freeman's performance of Beethoven's Missa Solemnis with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra and Chorus received rave reviews. The Richmond Times Dispatch called it "fine-grained" and "richly expressive," (May 23, 2011) while classical music blog Letter V mentioned the "rich, robust choral sound and warm, weighty orchestral sonorities," and said "Male choral voices were especially striking in the 'stage whisper' effects..., and the full ensemble handled Beethoven's subtly varied dynamics and tidal surges of choral sound securely and, at its best, with seeming spontaneity." - May 2010: Erin Freeman was selected as one Virginia Lawyers Weekly's 50 most influential women in Virginia.
